Member Spotlight: Orietta Crispino, "Three Sisters Come and Go"

THREE SISTERS COME AND GO has an international pedigree; director Orietta Crispino and dramaturg Marco Casazza met over 25 years ago when he was her student at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan.  While in Italy, Crispino assisted some of the country's finest directors, including Giorgio Strehler and Massimo Castri.  She has lived and worked in New York City for the past decade while Casazza continues to work in Italy.

Set between the apparently opposite poles of Chekhov and Beckett, THREE SISTERS COME AND GO follows the lives of the three archetypical Chekhovian women and their desire to reconstitute their lives beyond their sense of profound loss. Bound to living together, each of the sisters is comically obsessed with being the most unhappy of the group.

Performances run September 29th through October 10th at Theaterlab (137 West 14th St., between 6th and 7th Ave.).

Performances are Wednesday through Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 3pm with an additional performance Sunday, October 3rd at 7pm.  There is no performance on Thursday, October 1st.  Press dates are September 29th and October 2nd at 8pm and Sunday, October 3rd at 3pm and 7pm.
